The electric vehicle and mobility sector is enteri The electric vehicle and mobility sector is entering a new phase of maturity. What was once defined by bold promises, early-stage experimentation and rapid valuation growth has now shifted into a more disciplined environment shaped by infrastructure readiness, profitability pressure and long-term scalability. For start-ups operating within this space, the challenge is no longer simply innovation. It is execution at scale in an increasingly competitive global market.

Electric mobility is no longer a niche category or a future-facing concept. It is becoming a core pillar of global transport strategy, industrial policy and urban planning. Governments continue to push decarbonisation targets, consumers are becoming more accustomed to electric drivetrains, and investors are increasingly focused on which companies can move beyond prototypes and pilot schemes into sustainable commercial operations.

In this environment, the most interesting start-ups are not necessarily those making the loudest claims. They are the ones quietly solving some of the most complex problems in energy storage, charging infrastructure, software integration and next-generation vehicle design. Across regions including Europe, North America and parts of Asia, a new wave of mobility-focused companies is beginning to define what the next decade of transport will look like.

The online gambling content industry has spent the The online gambling content industry has spent the better part of a decade optimising for volume, more titles, faster releases, cheaper production. Carl Wiggman CEO of @print_studios_ltd, speaking with Business Enquirer’s Zaakira Ibrahim, argues that this race has created an opening for studios willing to do the opposite.

Print Studios, the outfit Wiggman leads as CEO, has built its identity around craftsmanship rather than output, a stance that shapes everything from how it uses artificial intelligence to how many games it produces.

An Industry That Can No Longer Hide

Wiggman opened by describing a fundamental shift in how gambling studios operate in public. Where the industry once ran on low transparency, he said, it now exists under near-constant visibility, and that means a studio’s internal culture and its external product can no longer drift apart.

He pointed to three studios as case studies in identity. No Limit City, he noted, projects its game culture directly through its social presence. Games Global, by contrast, has cultivated something closer to a corporate Formula One-style brand. Shady Lady, meanwhile, operates behind an entirely digital persona. For Wiggman, the lesson is the same in each case: culture and product have to match, because audiences now see both.

The aerospace and defence sector is entering a def The aerospace and defence sector is entering a defining period of transformation. Once viewed primarily through the lens of government spending and military procurement, it has become a far broader story encompassing technological innovation, geopolitical strategy, commercial aviation, advanced manufacturing and global investment. For businesses and investors, the sector is no longer simply reacting to world events. It is helping shape them.

As governments reassess national security priorities and commercial aviation continues its recovery and expansion, aerospace and defence have become central to conversations about resilience, economic growth and technological leadership. Investment is accelerating across traditional defence capabilities, while emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and advanced space infrastructure are opening entirely new commercial opportunities.

The coming year is therefore likely to be defined not by increased expenditure, but by strategic partnerships, industrial modernisation and a growing recognition that aerospace and defence now sit at the intersection of national security, innovation and economic competitiveness.

Innovation has long been celebrated as the engine Innovation has long been celebrated as the engine of business growth, yet innovation rarely emerges from certainty. Behind every successful product launch, bold market expansion or transformative strategy is a willingness to embrace calculated risk. As organisations navigate an increasingly unpredictable commercial environment, and leadership quality is becoming more valuable than ever, the ability to create a culture where intelligent risk-taking is encouraged rather than avoided.

For decades, many businesses regarded consistency, discipline and predictable processes as the hallmarks of strong management, while mistakes were seen as failures to eliminate rather than opportunities to understand. That mindset served many organisations well during periods of relative stability, but the pace of modern business has fundamentally altered the rules.

Markets evolve faster than ever before. Customer expectations shift rapidly, emerging technologies disrupt established industries, and competitors can appear almost overnight. In this environment, organisations that hesitate for too long risk being overtaken by those prepared to experiment, adapt and learn.

Agriculture has always been the foundation of civi Agriculture has always been the foundation of civilisation, but it is rapidly becoming one of the most innovative sectors in the global economy. Long associated with tradition and generations of inherited knowledge, farming is now embracing technologies that are transforming everything from crop production and food manufacturing to supply chains and consumer choice. As businesses look towards a future defined by sustainability, resilience and efficiency, AgTech and food innovation have emerged as industries to watch.

The pressures driving this transformation are impossible to ignore. Climate uncertainty, changing consumer expectations, growing populations and increasingly complex global supply chains have created a new set of challenges for food producers and manufacturers. Businesses are no longer simply asking how to grow more food. They are asking how to produce it more sustainably, distribute it more efficiently and ensure it remains affordable while meeting ever higher environmental and ethical standards.

Technology is helping agriculture evolve from one of the world’s oldest industries into one of its most forward-thinking. At the same time, advances in food science are redefining what consumers eat and how products reach supermarket shelves. Together, these developments are creating opportunities not only for farmers but also for investors, retailers, manufacturers and technology companies operating across the wider business landscape.

Business Enquirer caught up with Brian Hadi Attarb Business Enquirer caught up with Brian Hadi Attarbashi, CEO of @_ai_ark, for a Q&A.

Q: Take us back to the start. What did you see in the B2B data market that made you build AI Ark?

A: For years, we were the customer. We started AI bees, our outbound agency, in 2018, and early on, finding data meant using a stack of Chrome extensions to dig out emails. It was painful.

Around 2020, Apollo got popular and we moved onto it, paying thousands of dollars a month. But we kept hitting the same wall. We’d export “valid” leads, upload them, and get flooded with bounces and replies like, “I don’t work here anymore.”

When we checked, those people had changed jobs four or five months earlier. We ran our own tests and the data was roughly 90, sometimes even 180 days old. So we were paying a lot of money for stale records, then paying again to re verify all of it through separate tools. That’s a bad deal.

In an era when public services face mounting finan In an era when public services face mounting financial pressures and growing demands for accountability, @norse.group stands as a compelling example of how a local authority-owned enterprise can deliver both commercial discipline and genuine community benefit. At the helm of this Norfolk-based group is Justin Galliford, whose vision centres on a deceptively simple principle: transparency above all.

Norse Group is wholly owned by Norfolk County Council, yet it operates with a level of independence and commercial focus that would not look out of place in the private sector. That unique structure, Galliford explains, is precisely what allows the organisation to succeed.

Ownership Without Exclusivity

The council’s current licence with Norse Group allows the company, alongside other contractors, to access the county’s highways estate.

“That gives us the ability to work with Norfolk County Council as both a customer and a shareholder.”

This dual relationship creates a uniquely accountable model. Norse cannot rely on guaranteed contracts simply because it is council owned. Instead, it must continually demonstrate its value, quality and efficiency whenever opportunities arise.

The health and wellness industry is undergoing one The health and wellness industry is undergoing one of the most significant transformations in its history. Once largely associated with fitness memberships, healthy eating and personal care products, the sector has evolved into a vast and influential market encompassing physical health, mental wellbeing, preventative care, workplace wellness, technology and lifestyle optimisation.

In 2026, wellness is no longer viewed as a luxury or an occasional indulgence. It has become a central consideration for consumers, employers and governments alike. Individuals are taking a more proactive approach to their health, seeking solutions that help them improve quality of life, enhance longevity and support overall wellbeing. At the same time, businesses are recognising the growing commercial opportunities within a sector that continues to expand across multiple industries.

This shift is being driven by several factors. Greater awareness of mental health, advances in technology, changing workplace expectations and increased access to health information have all contributed to a more informed and engaged consumer. Today’s wellness consumer is looking for more than products. They are seeking personalised experiences, trusted guidance and holistic solutions that address both physical and emotional wellbeing.

As the industry continues to evolve, several trends are emerging that are likely to shape the health and wellness landscape throughout 2026 and beyond.

There are few products in the world as universal a There are few products in the world as universal as bread, and few that feel as personal. It sits at the centre of daily routines, family tables and national identity. It carries culture, memory and habit in a way few food categories can. In Egypt, where bread has always held deep social and cultural meaning, the bakery sector is now entering a new industrial era.

At the heart of that transformation is Modern Bakeries, the company behind @richbakeegypt and one of Egypt’s most established industrial bakery businesses. Founded in 1997, Rich Bake was the first industrial packaged bakery company in Egypt, pioneering a category that would go on to reshape consumer habits across the country. Its introduction of packaged toast bread was not simply a product launch; it marked the beginning of a new chapter for Egypt’s packaged bakery market.

Under the leadership of CEO Gilbert Hobeika, who joined the business in early 2023, the company has moved through one of the most challenging periods in its history and emerged with renewed momentum.

When Hobeika arrived, the business was under serious pressure. The after effects of the pandemic, the disruption caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the strain placed on global wheat supply chains had created an extremely difficult operating environment for the bakery industry.

In today’s business environment, consumer expect In today’s business environment, consumer expectations are evolving faster than ever. Customers no longer judge organisations solely on the quality of a product or service. They evaluate every interaction, every touchpoint and every experience. From digital platforms and customer service to sustainability commitments and brand values, modern consumers expect businesses to understand their needs and respond accordingly.

As a result, consumer centricity has become one of the defining leadership priorities of 2026. Organisations that place customers at the heart of decision making are consistently outperforming those focused primarily on products, processes or internal objectives. While technology has accelerated this shift, the most successful consumer focused organisations are not necessarily those with the biggest budgets or most advanced systems. Instead, they are led by individuals who understand that long term success is built on trust, loyalty and meaningful relationships.

In 1997, a young entrepreneur arrived in Tanzania In 1997, a young entrepreneur arrived in Tanzania with a copy of Sam Walton’s autobiography, a belief in the potential of African trade, and an idea. Nearly three decades later, that idea has grown into one of the most diversified business groups operating across Central and East Africa, spanning mining, logistics, manufacturing, renewable energy, real estate and beyond.

Chetan Chug, Chairman of Vinmart Group, speaks with characteristic modesty when reflecting on the journey, but the scale of what has been built is anything but modest. From a commodity trading hub in Dar es Salaam to a group with offices spanning China, India, South Africa, Zambia, Mauritius, Turkey, Canada, the UAE and beyond, Vinmart has become a case study in strategic adaptation, long-term thinking and the power of vertical integration.

Business Enquirer recently caught up with Chetan Chug, Chairman of Vinmart Group, to discuss the company’s remarkable growth, the inspiration behind its journey, the strategic decisions that have shaped the business and his vision for the future as Vinmart Group continues to expand its presence across Africa.
