Emirates has announced the deployment of its new Airbus A350-900ULR (Ultra Long Range) aircraft on the Dubai–Adelaide route, marking a significant enhancement in its long-haul service offerings. Commencing on 1 December 2025, this move underscores the airline’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art travel experiences and expanding its global network.
Elevated Comfort and Efficiency
The A350-900ULR is designed for extended-range flights and features a three-class configuration:
- 32 Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, offering direct aisle access and lie-flat beds.
- 28 Premium Economy seats, providing enhanced comfort with additional legroom and recline.
- 238 Economy Class seats, ensuring a spacious and comfortable journey for all passengers.
This configuration not only enhances passenger comfort but also improves operational efficiency on long-haul routes.

Strategic Expansion in Australia
Adelaide becomes the first destination in Emirates’ network to receive the A350-900ULR, highlighting the airline’s strategic focus on the Australian market. Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, stated:
“Deploying our first long-range A350 to Adelaide is an exciting development and underscores the importance of Australia as a major eastbound anchor in our network. It also represents our commitment to delivering the best possible long-haul experience on our latest generation aircraft.”
This deployment is part of Emirates’ broader strategy to enhance its presence in Australia, where it currently operates 77 weekly return services across major cities.
