As World Environment Day 2025 approaches, the Ravin Group is taking centre stage in the global conversation on environmental responsibility with a powerful campaign launched in partnership with the Bhamla Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The initiative, unveiled during Ravin’s 75th anniversary celebrations earlier this year on January 18, marks a pivotal moment in the company’s long-standing commitment to sustainability. Titled “Tik Tik Plastic,” the campaign highlights the urgent need to address plastic pollution and broader environmental challenges, reflecting Ravin’s deep-rooted ethos of ecological stewardship.
The campaign launch was a high-profile affair in Mumbai, drawing together influential voices from business, government, and the entertainment industry. Ajay Devgn, Sharvari Wagh, filmmakers Imtiaz Ali and Rohit Shetty, and BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani joined Ravin Group CMD Vijay Karia to officially unveil the campaign. Central to the launch were two evocative short films, ‘Earthing’ and ‘Pyaasa’, directed by Imtiaz Ali and starring Devgn and Wagh.
Speaking about his involvement, Ajay Devgn stressed the moral imperative behind environmental action:
“We often turn to nature for solace in a polluted world, but that’s not enough. We must act to preserve it. We cannot quench our thirst at the cost of depleting the earth, the very source of water. Let’s all protect the planet in our own way. When we care for the Earth, the Earth takes care of us.”

Vijay Karia, Chairman and Managing Director of Ravin Group, echoed the sentiment, calling for collective responsibility and long-term thinking:
“This campaign reinforces the pressing need to make sustainability a central focus of our actions. It’s not just about maintaining the environment as it is, but about healing it, for our children and generations to come. Ravin is proud to lead by example as we continue our journey toward a greener future.”
Karia’s leadership has guided the Ravin Group for decades, integrating sustainable practices into the company’s infrastructure and manufacturing operations. The latest campaign is a natural extension of that philosophy, positioning Ravin as a sustainability frontrunner in the industrial and energy sectors.
The campaign also underscores the growing role of storytelling and public influence in environmental awareness. With the involvement of Bollywood talent and strategic backing from civic and global environmental bodies, “Tik Tik Plastic” is not just a campaign, it’s a movement designed to inspire mass engagement.
Imtiaz Ali, director of the films, noted that art and activism must now go hand in hand:
“Cinema can bring abstract ideas like sustainability to life in ways that facts and figures can’t. These films are emotional calls to action, a way to touch hearts and shift mindsets.”
As June 5, World Environment Day 2025, draws near, Ravin Group is calling on individuals, corporations, and communities to commit to meaningful change. With over seven decades of pioneering innovation and environmental responsibility, the company continues to lead by example, showing how legacy brands can embrace the future with purpose.
