Bentley Motors has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Max Harris-Jones as Sustainability and Community Communications Manager, underlining the marque’s growing focus on environmental responsibility and social impact.
The move comes as Bentley continues to advance its long-term Beyond100+ strategy, which sets out the company’s ambition to transform into a fully electric luxury brand while embedding sustainability across every aspect of its operations.
A role at the heart of Bentley’s transformation
In his new position, Harris-Jones will be responsible for shaping how Bentley communicates its sustainability journey and community engagement initiatives, both internally and externally. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, storytelling and stakeholder engagement — reflecting the increasing importance of clear, credible communication as the automotive industry undergoes rapid change.
He will report to Wayne Bruce, working closely with Bentley’s leadership teams to align sustainability messaging with business priorities, cultural values and long-term objectives.
Deep experience within the business

Harris-Jones brings more than a decade of experience within Bentley to the role. Over the past 11 years, he has held a variety of positions across manufacturing, motorsport and bespoke vehicle programmes, giving him a detailed understanding of the business from both an operational and cultural perspective.
Most recently, he served as Technical Assistant to Bentley’s Manufacturing Board Member, where he played a role in major transformation initiatives, including the evolution of Bentley’s Crewe site into its next-generation “Dream Factory”.
This background positions him well to translate complex sustainability and manufacturing developments into compelling, authentic narratives.
Communicating sustainability with purpose
Bentley has signalled that the appointment reflects a broader shift in how sustainability is positioned within the organisation. Rather than being treated as a standalone topic, sustainability is increasingly woven into brand identity, community relationships and long-term value creation.
Harris-Jones’ remit will include amplifying Bentley’s progress on decarbonisation, electric mobility and responsible manufacturing, while also highlighting the company’s engagement with local communities, social initiatives and inclusive culture.
Supporting the Beyond100+ vision

The appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Bentley, as the luxury automotive sector accelerates its transition toward electrification and more sustainable business models. Clear communication will be critical in building trust with customers, employees, partners and investors as the company delivers on its ambitious roadmap.
By appointing a dedicated leader for sustainability and community communications, Bentley is reinforcing its commitment to transparency, engagement and long-term impact — ensuring its transformation is understood not just in technical terms, but in human and societal ones as well.
